Erg Chebbi in Merzouga 2 days tour - Itinerary:
Day 1: From Ouarzazate to Erg Chebbi
Depart from Ouarzazate to Erg Chebbi in Merzouga by 4x4 in the morning. Cross the Anti Atlas Mountain, Tiz-n-Tinfift (1700m) Pass to Agdez, where the longest river in Morocco is 1200km. We take the ancient caravan route, which passes by many old villages, to understand the local life in the Draa Oasis.
Our trip continues to Nkob, Rissani, and then to Merzouga, where you will experience a camel ride and enjoy the stunning sunset from the top of the dunes. Dinner and night will be spent in the desert camp under the stars.
Day 2: From Erg Chebbi in Merzouga to Ouarzazate
If you wake up early enough after breakfast, you can watch the sunrise and enjoy the beautiful colours. Then, travel back on the camel to Merzouga again. The road takes us through Erfoud, Tinjdad, and Todra Gorges, where we stop to visit the Gorge and have lunch.
In the afternoon, the trip continues to the Valley of Rosses. A short stop to see the cosmetic products. It's well known throughout Morocco and highly valued. Another stop to visit ancient Amridil Kasbah in the Skoura Oasis before we arrive at Ouarzazate around 18:30
There will be many stops in the best panoramic views to take photos.

- Footwear: Choose shoes or sandals. Walking shoes are unnecessary in the desert; lighter footwear is preferable. If selecting sandals, pack socks as nighttime temperatures drop.
- Clothing: Light attire for the day and warmer garments for the evening, including rain protection. In March, temperatures range from 10°C at night to 26°C during the day.
- Sun protection: Suncream and sunglasses.
- First aid: Include adhesive plasters, dressings, sterile compresses, disinfectant, paracetamol or aspirin tablets/sachets, antidiarrheal medication, eye drops, and blister dressings.
- Water bottle.
- Hermetic bags: Freezer-type bags to protect your camera or phone.
