Excursion from Ouarzazate 4 days by 4x4 - Itinerary:
Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura Oasis – Valley of Roses – Boutaghrar – Dades Gorges
Depart from Ouarzazate in the morning, heading toward Skoura Oasis to explore its palm groves and historic kasbahs. Continue through the fragrant Valley of Roses, especially vibrant in spring. Stop in the picturesque village of Boutaghrar for a traditional lunch and a short walk through local Berber villages. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic 1-hour off-road drive to reach the spectacular Dades Gorges for dinner and overnight stay in a local guesthouse.
Day 2: Dades Gorges – Boumalne – Tinghir – Todra Gorges
After breakfast, take a short walk in the Dades Gorges to admire its dramatic rock formations. Then drive through Boumalne and Tinghir, two towns known for their stunning desert landscapes and palm valleys. Arrive at the Todra Gorges—famous for their towering canyon walls—where you’ll spend the second night in a hotel nestled in the gorge.
Day 3: Todra Gorges – Underground Irrigation System – Jorf – Erfoud – Merzouga
Leave Todra and head towards Jorf, stopping to explore a traditional underground irrigation system used by local communities. Pass through Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, and reach Merzouga in the late afternoon. From here, ride camels into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and enjoy a magical sunset. Spend the night in a Berber-style desert camp under the stars, with dinner and music around the campfire.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Nkob – Draa Valley – Anti-Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate
After an early sunrise and breakfast in the dunes, ride back by camel or 4x4 to Merzouga. Visit the traditional market town of Rissani before continuing through Nkob and the lush palm groves of the Draa Valley. Cross the majestic Anti-Atlas Mountains and arrive back in Ouarzazate by late afternoon, ending your unforgettable 4-day desert journey.

- Footwear: Choose shoes or sandals. Walking shoes are unnecessary in the desert; lighter footwear is preferable. If selecting sandals, pack socks as nighttime temperatures drop.
- Clothing: Light attire for the day and warmer garments for the evening, including rain protection. In March, temperatures range from 10°C at night to 26°C during the day.

- First aid: Include adhesive plasters, dressings, sterile compresses, disinfectant, paracetamol or aspirin tablets/sachets, antidiarrheal medication, eye drops, and blister dressings.
