Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura Oasis – Valley of Roses – Boutaghrar
Begin your excursion from Ouarzazate by heading east to the scenic Skoura Oasis, known for its palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Continue through the fragrant Valley of Roses, especially beautiful during bloom season. By afternoon, arrive at the Boutaghrar village, nestled in a peaceful valley. Spend the night here and enjoy a hike to explore the surrounding Berber villages and rose-filled valleys.
Day 2: Boutaghrar – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges
After breakfast, take a 1-hour off-road drive through breathtaking landscapes to reach the spectacular Dades Gorges, where you’ll enjoy lunch and a short walk along the dramatic rock formations. Continue to the Todra Gorges, a paradise for nature lovers and climbers. End the day with a peaceful overnight stay in Todra after a scenic walk through the gorge.
Day 3: Todra Gorges – Anti-Atlas – Draa Valley – Zagora – Tamgrout – Mhamid
Leave the Todra Gorges behind and head south through the rugged Anti-Atlas Mountains, crossing towards the lush and historical Draa Valley, one of Morocco’s longest river valleys. Pass through Zagora and stop in Tamgrout, known for its ancient Koranic library and green pottery. Arrive in Mhamid, the gateway to the desert, for a restful night.
Day 4: Mhamid – Erg Chegaga Camel Ride – Desert Camp
Today is all about the Sahara. Depart from Mhamid by 4x4 toward the golden dunes of Erg Chegaga, one of the largest dune fields in Morocco. Enjoy the ride camel, silence, and sweeping views of the desert. Spend the night at a traditional desert camp under the stars, with local music and warm hospitality.
Day 5: Erg Chegaga – Iriki Lake – Foum Zguid – Taznakht – Ouarzazate
Conclude your journey with a drive across the dry Iriki Lake and rocky desert plains to Foum Zguid. Continue toward Taznakht, a town famous for its handmade Berber carpets, then return to Ouarzazate, where your unforgettable 5-day excursion departs from Ouarzazate comes to an end.

- Footwear: Choose shoes or sandals. Walking shoes are unnecessary in the desert; lighter footwear is preferable. If selecting sandals, pack socks as nighttime temperatures drop.
- Clothing: Light attire for the day and warmer garments for the evening, including rain protection. In March, temperatures range from 10°C at night to 26°C during the day.
- Sun protection: Suncream and sunglasses.

- First aid: Include adhesive plasters, dressings, sterile compresses, disinfectant, paracetamol or aspirin tablets/sachets, antidiarrheal medication, eye drops, and blister dressings.
