Day 1: Agadir - Visit Taroudant - Oasis Tiout

Your 8-day Moroccan adventure begins in Agadir, where you will embark on a scenic drive to the charming city of Taroudant. Known as "Little Marrakech," Taroudant offers a glimpse into Morocco's traditional culture, with its bustling souks, historic city walls, and vibrant atmosphere. After exploring the city, head to the serene Oasis Tiout, an idyllic haven surrounded by lush palm groves and tranquil landscapes. Spend the night here in a peaceful environment, enjoying the cool breeze and the quiet beauty of the oasis.

Day 2: Oasis Tiout - Irherm - Tleta Tagmoute - Tata 

On day two, begin your journey through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, heading towards the remote village of Irherm. This hidden gem is known for its rugged beauty and traditional Berber architecture. From here, take a short, scenic walk to Tleta Tagmoute, where you'll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding desert valleys and mountain landscapes. In the evening, continue to the town of Tata, where you can relax and enjoy the calm ambience of southern Morocco. Tata serves as a perfect base for exploring the desert's vastness.

Day 3: Tata - Cascade Attiq in Tissint Village - Irki Lake - Erg Chegaga 

Today's journey takes you to the hidden gem of Cascade Attiq, a beautiful waterfall located in the village of Tissint. After a refreshing visit to the waterfall, head to Irki Lake, an unexpected oasis in the midst of the desert, surrounded by palm trees and the distant peaks of the Atlas Mountains. As the day progresses, you'll continue to the vast Erg Chegaga dunes, one of the largest and most stunning dunes in Morocco. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp, where you can witness the mesmerizing starry sky and feel the tranquillity of the Sahara.

Day 4: Erg Chegaga, Journey by Camel and Lunch under the Tamarisk Tree, then Back to the Camp

On day four, immerse yourself in the Sahara Desert by taking a camel ride across the mesmerizing dunes of Erg Chegaga. This traditional desert transport offers a unique way to explore the endless sandy landscape, allowing you to connect with the desert's peaceful energy. During your journey, stop for a delicious lunch under the shade of a Tamarisk tree, a rare oasis in the midst of the desert. Day 5: Erg Chegaga - Mhamid - Tamgrout - Zagora

On the fifth day, your journey takes you from the dramatic dunes of Erg Chegaga to the small desert town of Mhamid, often referred to as the "gateway to the Sahara." From Mhamid, head towards Tamgrout, where you can explore its famous pottery workshops, where artisans craft intricate green ceramics using ancient techniques. Day 6: Zagora - Valley Du Draa - N'kob - Todra Gorges

Stop in N'kob, a picturesque town surrounded by ancient kasbahs that offer breathtaking views of the valley. Day 7: Todra Gorges - Visit Dades Gorges - Valley of Roses - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou

Continue to Taliouine, the heart of Morocco's saffron production, where you'll learn about the cultivation and harvesting of this precious spice. Practical information
  • Footwear: Choose shoes or sandals. Walking shoes are unnecessary in the desert; lighter footwear is preferable. If selecting sandals, pack socks as nighttime temperatures drop.
  • Clothing: Light attire for the day and warmer garments for the evening, including rain protection. In March, temperatures range from 10°C at night to 26°C during the day.
  • Sun protection: Suncream and sunglasses.
  • First aid: Include adhesive plasters, dressings, sterile compresses, disinfectant, paracetamol or aspirin tablets/sachets, antidiarrheal medication, eye drops, and blister dressings.
  • Water bottle.
  • Hermetic bags: Freezer-type bags to protect your camera or phone.
