Marrakech to Merzouga 3 days - Itinerary:

Program 3 days

Day 1: From Marrakech to Dades Gorge

It's the first day to discover the south of Morocco from Marrakech. Our guides will pick you up from your Riad or Hotel and start the fantastic tour to High Atlas Mountain. There will be many stops to enjoy the beauty of the small Berber villages, the panoramic views, and take lovely photos. From here, we drive down to Ait ben Haddou via Ounila Valley, one of the important routes for the caravans that crossed the Sahara to Marrakech.

Arrive at Ait ben Haddou. It's a fortified village and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch here, you will visit this fascinating old Kasbah; you will pass by Ouarzazate city, then to Kela'a M'gouna and the route of 1000 Kasbah. We will be in Dades Gorges for a relaxing night and delicious dinner in a guest house in the afternoon.

Day 2: From Dades Gorge to Merzouga

After breakfast, you will have a short walk in the Dades Valley before driving to another beautiful Gorge named Todra in Tinghir. It's a favourite place for climbers to practice and enjoy the lovely colour of the rocks. You will have a nice walk in the middle of the gorge to take photos and enjoy the landscape. The trip continues via Tinjdad and Erfoud before arriving at Merzouga in the afternoon.

You will ride the camel for 2 hours to the desert camp, passing the magnificent immense dunes. The dunes' colour and shade give an unforgettable panoramic view and the moment to take memorable photos. Stop in the middle to enjoy the best sunset from the top of the dune. Night and dinner will be in a charming desert camp under the stars, followed by a musical evening around the fire.

Day 3: From Merzouga To Marrakech

This morning, you can wake up to watch the stunning sunrise. Then, after preparing yourself for another amazing journey, you will have a good breakfast in the desert camp. It starts by travelling back on the camel to Merzouga village. Take the 4x4 to Marrakech via a partly different route that passes through Rissani, Nkob, and the Draa Valley (the longest river in Morocco, 1100km).

You will have lunch in Ouarzazate and take the road to cross the High Atlas Mountain again. Arrive at Marrakech at the end of the day, and we hope you enjoyed the desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga.
